We built StayOS for our own cottage in West Olive, Michigan. We wanted guests to find what they needed without waiting for a reply from us.
It started with the things we kept explaining: the Wi-Fi, the TV, the thermostat, and where to go for dinner. Now we’re bringing it to other hosts.

What exactly is StayOS?+
It’s an app that runs on a tablet you keep in your rental. Guests use it to find house information, see your local recommendations, and control supported smart-home devices.
Do my guests need to download anything?+
No. They use the tablet that’s already in the house. There’s no app to install on their phone and no account to create.
Will it work with my smart-home devices?+
StayOS works with supported Lutron and Govee lights, Roku TVs and players, Schlage locks, and thermostat setups. Send us your device models and we’ll check compatibility before you get started. Yale, August, Philips Hue, Sonos, and Shelly are planned additions and aren’t available yet.
Can I make it my own?+
Yes. Your house guide, Wi-Fi details, checkout instructions, and local recommendations all come from you. Tell us what makes your property different and what you want guests to be able to do. We’ll work through the setup together.
What if my device isn’t supported?+
Send us the brand and model. If an integration is technically possible, we’ll build it for free. We’ll check how the device connects and confirm the features and timing with you before we start. Some devices don’t allow other apps to connect, so we can’t promise support for every model.
Can I use my own tablet?+
Possibly. The current setup uses an Android tablet. Tell us the model you have and we’ll check whether it’s suitable, including how it will stay powered and where you want to put it.
Is this a property management system?+
No. Keep using your current tools for bookings and payments. StayOS is for guests while they’re at the property.
What does it cost?+
Contact us for current pricing and availability. Let us know how many properties you host and whether you already have a tablet.
